Welcome to Hank’s Corner.

I build fast, delightful web apps & Shopify experiences.

Hi, I'm Hank — Phạm Dũng if we’ve met in Vietnam. I'm a software engineer who genuinely enjoys the craft of the web, from squeezing milliseconds out of a render path to sweating the easing curve on a hover state.
These days I build Shopify apps used by 10,000+ merchants at Mageplaza, working across the stack with React, Node.js and TypeScript. Alongside that I build my own Shopify apps under Solora, two of them live on the App Store.
When I’m not shipping, I write about performance, reverse-engineer animations I like, and over-engineer my own portfolio (you’re looking at exhibit A).

05/2024 — PresentHanoi, Vietnam

Building Shopify apps used by 10,000+ merchants, intern then full-time.

  • Core developer and top code contributor of the Instagram Feed app: React admin, Node.js backend and the storefront App Block.
  • Main developer of the Quiz app since early 2025; also contributed to Size Chart and Digital Download.
  • Built an AI size-chart importer on Gemini vision: uploaded images become structured JSON (HTML text + tables) that fills the chart editor, with a preview before applying.
  • Cut the Instagram Feed storefront bundle by ~70% (~100 KB → 28 KB) with code splitting and lazy-loaded components.
  • Moved feed data to the Storefront API (cached token, scope checks, fallback) for Core Web Vitals.
